Chelan Douglas Port Authority to break ground on new aviation terminal

EAST WENATCHEE — The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new General Aviation Terminal Building on August 12, advancing regional aviation infrastructure.

The event, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at 3764 Airport Way in East Wenatchee, will be open to the public and include a tribute to Senator Maria Cantwell. The Port Authority credits Cantwell's support as crucial in bringing the project to fruition.

Representatives Dan Newhouse and Kim Schrier will also be recognized for their backing of the initiative, which will enhance facilities for the growing general aviation needs in the Wenatchee Valley.

The new terminal will provide modern amenities and services, reflecting the region's commitment to economic development and improved transportation infrastructure.

Stakeholders, including representatives from the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority and local government officials, will deliver remarks at the ceremony.
